Aging signs may also affect thighs and legs that appear sagging and unsexy. This may also happen when a person gain and lose an important amount of weight, which makes the stretched skin look loose and legs look fat.
Thigh lift is a plastic surgery that aims to reshape and contour the thighs, by eliminating excess skin and fat in the inner and outer thigh. If you could not achieve your sexy legs goals through exercising and wight control, then thigh lift is the best solution for you.
What is the thigh lift procedure ?
The surgery is performed under general anesthesia. During the consultation, the surgeon will decide the incision type he will perform. And that is according to the level and areas of sagginess such as the patient’s expectations and preferences.
There are 3 types of incisions depending on each case:
1. Inner incision :
The surgeon places the incision starting from the groin area. Extending downward then around the thigh into the butt crease.
this technique helps tighten the inner upper thigh skin.
2. Outer incision :
Incision starts from the groin area, then extends upward around the thigh to the top of the hip. This technique helps tighten the front and the outer side of the thigh.
3. Vertical incision :
Incision starts from the groin area then extends down to the knee level, along the inside of the thigh. This technique helps tighten the thigh from all sides, and that in the case of extremely saggy thigh skin.
Surgeons may also consider minimal incision for less sagginess.
Depending on the patient case, fat liposuction may be combined with thigh lift. In case of excellent skin elasticity, the surgeon may recommend thigh fat liposuction months before thigh lift, in some cases that can be sufficient to achieve the desired result.
At the end of the procedure, the surgeon will close the inner incisions using deep sutures to tighten supporting tissues. For skin incisions; sutures or skin adhesive tape can be used for closing.
